Mercedes is, without question, our secret favorite fox red girl. As much as we try not to play favorites, it's nearly impossible not to choose Mercedes in a lineup.

The first thing you'll notice is her breathtaking appearance. She has the deepest, richest fox red color imaginable and an irresistibly wrinkled expression. At 80 pounds, she is every bit the classic English Labrador — powerful, substantial, and beautifully balanced. She carries herself with quiet confidence, complemented by a dense coat and the thick "otter" tail the breed is famous for.

Then you get to know her personality.

Mercedes is one of the calmest Labradors we have ever owned. She is happiest simply being with her people and would be perfectly content to spend the entire day lying at your feet. She certainly enjoys a game of fetch or splashing around in the creek, but her default setting is relaxation. If there were such a thing as a lazy Labrador, Mercedes would happily claim the title. Her easygoing, gentle nature makes her an absolute joy to live with.

Her pedigree is every bit as impressive as the dog herself. Mercedes is a granddaughter of the world-famous International Champion Bloomwood Royal Major Globetrotter ("Radek"), a legendary sire whose influence can be found in outstanding Labradors across the globe. On her mother's side, she traces back to the renowned Kelley Green fox red lines, celebrated not only for their stunning color but also for their exceptionally calm, gentle temperaments.

Finally, beneath the beauty and pedigree lies the foundation that matters most: soundness. Mercedes has earned OFA preliminary Excellent hips — the highest rating possible — and normal elbows, giving us every confidence in the structural quality she brings to our breeding program.
